Day 1- Journey to Sigiriya

Ayubowan and welcome to Sri Lanka!

When you arrive at the international airport, one of our representatives will greet you and prepare for your journey around the island. You’ll travel to Sigiriya for your first night. During the day, discover the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a 5th-century "Fortress in the Sky" and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site features the Royal Palace foundations, water tanks, Water Gardens, Boulder Gardens and Caves. Following your excursion, you will visit the famed Heritance Kandalama. This Bawa-hotel is renowned for its integration into the natural landscape.

Day 2- Explore Kandy’s Treasures

After breakfast at the hotel, travel to Dambulla where you can explore the Dambulla Cave Temple, a colossal isolated rock formation with a temple dating to the 1st century B.C. Next, travel to Kandy where you can tour the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which has safeguarded the Buddha's Tooth since the 4th century A.D., making it Sri Lanka's most revered temple. While in Kandy, other temples to visit are the Lankathilaka and Gadaladeniya Temples which are known for their blend of Sinhalese and South Indian architectural styles.

Day 3- Tour Sri Lanka’s Little England

Your journey to Nuwara Eliya begins after a nourishing breakfast at your hotel. Nuwara Eliya is known as ‘Little England’, as evidence of British influence is visible in the architecture, resembling country cottages and Queen Anne-style mansions. While exploring this hill city, you’ll visit a tea factory, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Gregory, and admire the architecture of the Grand Hotel or Heritance Tea Factory Hotel.

Day 4- Relax in Bentota

Following a delicious breakfast in your hotel, you’ll journey to the south coast of the island to soak up the sun! Bentota is roughly five hours away and you’ll have the rest of the day at your leisure to enjoy a swim in the warm waters, try some watersports or simply enjoy the tranquillity of the island.

Day 5- Discover Treasures in Galle Fort

Today, we’ll explore the charming old town of Galle and Galle Fort. The 90-acre Galle Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which boasts impressive walls, including a central bastion, half bastions overlooking the sea, and the original gate, marked by British and Dutch emblems. After this, you’ll visit the iconic Lunuganga Estate in Bentota, the former home of the renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa. This estate served as his experimental canvas for testing architectural and landscaping concepts. Other things to do in Bentota include a river ride on the Madu River, a visit to the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery and some fun watersports.

Day 6- Escape to Colombo

For your last night with us, we’ll head back to Colombo. Admire the sights along the way as you make your way to this bustling city. During your tour of Colombo, you’ll visit Seema Malakaya, a Buddhist temple that’s located on a constructed island in Beira Lake. Before heading back to your hotel for the night, visit Bawa’s Number 11 Residency, an architectural marvel which also houses art and artefacts from his collection.

Day 7- Departure
