Wilpattu National Park

Wilpattu National Park, located in the northwest coast of Sri Lanka, is a sanctuary of natural beauty and biodiversity. As the largest national park in the country, Wilpattu is renowned for its stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife. The park is home to numerous species, including elephants, leopards, sloth bears, and a variety of bird species. Wilpattu is characterised by its unique feature of "Willus" (natural lakes), which dot the landscape and provide a serene backdrop to the wilderness. Embark on jeep safaris through the park, offering a glimpse into this untouched natural paradise.

The best time to visit Wilpattu National Park is between February and October, during the dry season, when wildlife congregates around the park's many water sources, making it easier to spot animals. The park is open to visitors from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm daily.
